Cheap Card Tables
Cheap card tables can be found by the
truckloads out there. It’s not hard to find them, really.
In my case, all I have to do is visit the flea market near my
place to uncover a wide range of poorly made folding card
tables. They are inexpensive sure, but their quality is highly
questionable. So forget the flea market, these days one can
simply go online to find great quality tables at very
reasonable prices. See the tables on display below easily fall
in the “low-cost, high-quality” category.
Cheap Folding Card
Table

I think this is one of the best, and one of the most
value-for-money cheap folding tables on the market. Why you
asked? Alright, firstly, the table is solidly built. It’s just
as tough as the 80 – 100 dollar folding tables out there.
The heavy duty steel frame ensures great stability so you
won’t have to worry about the table being wobbly and all that.
Table itself is durable and the legs are tough as steel (well
they are made of steel after all!) The unfolding part is a
breeze because the table has a smooth slide leg locks
mechanism.
As soon as you unfold the legs, the auto slide locks will
hold the legs firmly in position. It’s a nice feature and one
that I didn’t expect to see on a folding card table that
cost less than 50 dollars.
See, a lot of cheap card tables are quite difficult to set
up because the leg locks do not slide in as smoothly. You have
to pull down the legs a bit harder to make them lock in place
properly. So a big thumbs up for this table’s auto slide leg
lock feature.
Now if you look at the top of the table in the picture
above, it’s not obvious I know, but the top is actually covered
with black vinyl. It’s a nice touch sure but the black vinyl is
glued directly on top and can easily be ripped off if you’re
not careful.
My father-in-law was doing one of his boring jigsaw puzzles
on the table the other day. He was rubbing his palm against the
vinyl top and the bottom left corner came off. We had to glue
it back on. No big deal but I still think that the vinyl top is
a little on the flimsy side.
The best part is the price of course. It’s around 45 – 50
dollars (at the time of writing). I think the price is absolute
steal taking into account the overall quality of the table.
Cheap Card Tables and
Chairs

Finding a cheap card table and chairs set can be a little
tricky. See, most sets cost 100 dollars above and if you do
find a set that cost lower than that, it’s usually crappy
quality stuff. The table is wobbly or the chairs are prone to
breakage.
That said, I managed to track down a card table and chair
set that’s not only relatively cheap, but pretty respectable
quality as well. The one in the picture above is what I
got.
Okay, okay, I know the set is not what you call
aesthetically pleasing. The powder coat finish is barely
passable in my opinion, but what the set lacks in appearance,
it more than makes up with its terrific price vs. quality
relation.
It’s not easy to find a decent set like this for less than
100 bucks. The table is relatively strong and so are the
chairs. Each chair has padding on the back and also on the seat
so you can rest comfortably.
The tabletop has a vinyl covering similar to the Cosco
Square Black 34’. And like the latter, the vinyl on this table
may come off easily so handle with care.
When it comes to set up, I think the table legs don’t fold
as smoothly as the Cosco Square Black 34’. The chairs are
alright though. All in all, this is a respectable set.
The table can certainly accommodate up to 4 players thanks
to its generous 34 x 34 surface. You can play cards, board
games and things like that on the table and 3 other persons can
join in the fun. The chairs are comfy but the padded fabric
gets dirty rather easily.
Last time I checked, the price was only about 80 to 90
dollars. It’s best that you follow the link below to see if the
price has changed.
